Registered nurses have a legal and professional obligation to notify their employer of unsafe situations so the problem can be corrected and injury or harm to patients can be avoided. Nurses use Assignment Despite Objection (ADO) forms to create a historical record of the issues and that they were reported to management.

These forms eliminate the hospital's deniability of patient care issues or unsafe conditions, or their ability to plead ignorance. Tenet DMC Huron Valley-Sinai nurses have filled hundreds of these forms with Tenet DMC management.

Huron Valley-Sinai nurses have submitted these forms for review to the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, but we believe it is important that the public know the truth about what is happening in the hospital you depend on.
